The Wide Bay Volunteers (WBV) Electronic Newsletter, or WBV E-News for short, is a PDF publication, which is distributed monthly via e-mail to our member organisations, community organisations, and other interested parties. The first edition of WBV E-News was launched on June 1st, 2004 - replacing the long-serving 'The Volunteer Vine.'

How do I open E-News

WBV E-News comes as an Adobe PDF file, and will require the program Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader to view it. In layman's terms, a PDF document can convert large glossy newsletters and similar items into highly compact files which are compatible with a wide range of computers - making it an ideal format for sending the WBV E-News.

Do not worry if you do not have a recent version of Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader, as Acrobat Reader can be downloaded free from the Adobe website. Adobe Reader is a free feature-limited version of Adobe Acrobat, and is perfect for people who need to read .PDF files.

Also many more programs are available that can also read the .PDF format - you can try a google search for the term 'PDF reader' or 'Freeware PDF reader' or below we have provided some links to programs that can be used free of charge.
