Thank you for your interest in becoming a Member of Wide Bay Volunteers (WBV). As a Member you can take advantage of our services and tap into the latest thinking on volunteering issues.
Volunteering is the basis on which healthy communities are built and the means through which individuals can become involved and actively participate in their own environments and communities. This can be through sporting or leisure activities, social action or environmental groups, health and community welfare, education and emergency services to name but a few.
Wide Bay Volunteers has hundreds of voluntary jobs listed from within its member organisations and makes up to 1500 volunteer referrals in a year.
Wide Bay Volunteers offers a Wide Bay/Burnett/Cooloola referral service which links people, who wish to volunteer their time and effort to community organisations in their local area. Volunteers can visit our centre, ring our local Bundaberg number, call our 1300 number or check out our Website to find out about available volunteer positions. In order for volunteers to be referred to your organisation, you need to be a member.
By becoming a full Member of Wide Bay Volunteers, you will receive an increase in services above the standard Associate Membership as outlined in the Membership Subscription Benefits Table on page 5 to 6 of the Wide Bay Volunteers Handbook.
To become a Member of Wide Bay Volunteers, you are asked to:
- Complete the Membership Application form
- Complete the Organisation Profile forms to ensure our records reflect your current situation.
- Complete the Volunteer Referral Agreement form.
- Fill-out the Job Description form for any new volunteer positions you require.
- Return to us by post all original forms with your payment, where applicable.
Wide Bay Volunteers exists to enable volunteers and community organisations to develop the structures, skills and capacity to better the quality of volunteering for the benefit of the community. To find out the benefits of becoming a member please read the Wide Bay Volunteers Handbook.
